Mastery Project - Brand Vision Book
The brand vision book was created for my mastery project for You Matter Mentorship Program. To plan out this endeavor I watched the video Foundations of Branding for Designers by Sean Adams on Lynda.com. This was helpful and gave great insight on making a fun and exciting book to help explain the brand. I took this approach and choose to make use of big pictures, quotes from students and statistics on mentorship. The bright color scheme I aimed to make the pictures fun and exciting while still showing compassion and care.
The guidance for this month’s course was to continue to work and develop the branding campaign for our chosen organizations. I’m working with You Matter Mentorship Program and my goal is to create a brand solution will help them communicate how the program can help provide guidance to students that are experiencing high stress levels, depression, difficulty in school or just in need of general life coaching assistance. Color scheme was significant when building solutions for You Matter. The target market for the program is for kids and young adults that are facing life challenges. It was important to have colors that stand out and are exciting and not gloomy. Bright energetic colors were used to help communicate the message. The color blue shows loyalty and trust, green displays friendliness, yellow for energetic and youthful energy, while white show goodness and positivity.
For the brand vision book my goal was to make use of color, images and text to really help explain what the organization is about through visuals. That was the biggest challenge of this project since part of the requirements for the book was not to use designer jargon but to explain the brand in simpler means. I focused on big pictures, quotes and statistics in order to visually explain what the You Matter Mentorship Program is about.

For the brand vision book I used bright colors and pictures with quotes to make a fun and exciting visual piece.

This image of children along with the statement shows the purpose of You Matter and helped to summarize the Brand Vision book.

This page introduced a student from the program and displayed the help and care she received while being part of it.

This is the quote from the previously introduced student. Throughout the book key words were highlighted in blue and green which are the primary colors for You Matter Mentorship Program.
